General information

In accordance with our legal obligation, we would like to inform you about the collection and usage of your personal data.

When you use our website, personal data about you is collected. This may be as a result of you entering the data yourself, such as your e-mail address. However, our system also collects your data automatically, such as your visit to our website. This occurs regardless of which device or software you use our website with.

Any data that you enter on our website is provided on a voluntary basis, and there will be no disadvantage to you if your data is not disclosed. However, it is not possible for us to provide services or conclude contracts without possessing specific data. We will always draw your attention to such required information.

On this website, the personal data of the user is collected only within the framework of the applicable data protection law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The technical terminology used within the text is explained in more detail in Art. 4 of the GDPR.

According to the GDPR, data processing is permitted in three cases in particular:

  • According to Art. 6(1)(a) and 7 GDPR, if you have consented to data processing by us. In each case, we will inform you in advance in this privacy policy and in connection with your consent pursuant to Art. 4(11) GDPR for which purpose and under which circumstances your data will be processed by us.
  • According to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, if the processing of your personal data is necessary for the initiation, conclusion or execution of a contractual relationship.
  • According to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, if on the basis of a balancing of interests the processing is necessary to protect our legitimate interests. This includes, in particular, our interests in analysing, optimising and securing our website offering, which primarily involves an analysis of user behaviour, the creation of profiles for advertising purposes and the storage of login data as well as the use of third-party providers.

User data

We collect user data insofar as is necessary for the establishment, content-related design or modification of a contractual relationship (including gratuitous contracts) between us and the user. This may include: customer data (e.g. name, address), contact data (e.g. e-mail address, telephone number), service data (e.g. service ordered, duration, payment). In establishing the user relationship, we will request this data from you (e.g. name, address and e-mail address) and also inform you to what extent the information is required in each case in order to establish the user relationship.

Usage data

We also collect usage data to allow the user to make use of the services on our website. This may include: usage information (e.g. websites or areas accessed, duration of visit, interest in services), content data (e.g. data, text, images, audio and video entered or uploaded by you), metadata (e.g. identity of your device, location, IP address).

We combine usage data only if and insofar as this is necessary for billing purposes. Otherwise, we will create only pseudonymised usage data, and only if you have not objected to this. You can send your corresponding objection at any time to the address provided in the legal notice or to the data protection officer named in this privacy policy.

The legal basis for this data processing is, on the one hand, our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in the analysis of our website and its usage, and potentially also the legal permission to store data for the purposes of initiating a contractual relationship in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Host

1&1 IONOS SE

Our website is made available for use on the internet by a service provider or host. For this, we use the services of 1&1 IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. We have concluded a commissioned data processing agreement with our provider. According to this agreement, our provider is obliged to process your data only on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions. Further information on the data processing by our provider can be found in their privacy policy at [1}https://www.ionos.de/terms-gtc/terms-privacy{2]. https://www.ionos.de/terms-gtc/terms-privacyThe legal basis for this data processing is, on the one hand, our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR in the provision and usage of our website on the internet and, where applicable, the legal permission to store data for the purposes of initiating a contractual relationship in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

Every time this website is used, our provider processes information in the form of the server log files, which are automatically transmitted by your browser each time you access websites on the internet. This includes the following information:

  • Your IP address
  • Type and version of your browser
  • Host name
  • Time of visit
  • The website from which you navigated to our website
  • Name of the accessed website
  • Exact time of the website access
  • Amount of data transferred

This data is used only for statistical purposes and does not allow us to identify you as a user.

Initial contact via electronic enquiry

If you contact us by electronic means (e.g. e-mail, fax, telephone, messenger, etc.), we will store and process the data that you have provided to us (e.g. name, contact information, content of the enquiry). The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in effective customer communication pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and, insofar as the enquiry relates to the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract, also Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
We will pass this data on to third parties only where this is necessary (pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) for the fulfilment of the contract, where we have an overriding interest in an effective service (pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or where you have given your consent (pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or another legal permission or obligation exists.
You can request information from us at any time and free of charge about the purpose of the processing as well as the origin and, if applicable, recipient of your personal data. You can also request the correction, deletion and restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can object at any time to the (further) processing of your data and have a right to data portability as well as a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
In principle, your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the respective data processing. Subsequent storage is primarily considered where this is still necessary for asserting our legal rights or due to our legitimate interests or if a legal obligation exists to retain the data (e.g. tax retention periods, statutory period of limitation).

Consent

If we ask for your consent to process your data, we will inform you in clear language and in an easily accessible manner regarding the cases for which you are giving your consent. Any consent that we request is voluntary, and any benefit you intend to gain by granting your consent can also be obtained without this consent. You simply need to ask us.

You have the right to revoke any consent that you have given us to process your personal data at any time. You can do this by sending an informal notification, e.g. via our contact form, in an e-mail to the address provided in the legal notice or by using an unsubscribe link (where provided by us). The legality of the data processing carried out up to this point remains unaffected by your revocation.

Storage duration

In principle, your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the respective data processing. Subsequent storage is primarily considered where this is still necessary for asserting our legal rights or due to our legitimate interests.
For your user data, which was required to fulfil a contractual relationship (including gratuitous contracts), this means that we will retain it until complete fulfilment or termination of the contractual relationship, plus the statutory period of limitation (which is generally 2 or 3 years) and a reasonable supplement to cover any interruption to the period of limitation.
For your usage data, which was recorded when you used the website, this means that we will store it only for as long as is necessary to ensure the correct functioning of our website and our legitimate interest applies. Statistical information is primarily saved only in pseudonymised form.
In addition, we store your data insofar as we are legally obliged to do so. This includes, in particular, the tax retention periods, which generally amount to 6 or even 10 years.
